ROUNDS OF THE SCHEDULE

The majority of simulations are divided into three sets of rounds:

Practice Rounds (team activity) Competition Rounds (individual activity) Rehearsal Tutorial (individual activity) (team activity)

There is no planned time for the Rehearsal Tutorial. The Rehearsal Tutorial is a self-paced practice that participants may do at their own pace at any time (see 4.5.2) In addition, there is no Practice Round for the Rehearsal Tutorial! Capsim suggests that you provide the start and stop timings for Practice and Competition Rounds; however, this is not required. If you want various schedules for different industries, please establish a new Course for each industry; otherwise, all industries within a single Course will follow the same timetable.

Footrace simulations include the option of being self-paced. After one set of choices has been submitted to the self-paced mode, participants will notice a link under their Dashboard |Task List that will enable them to proceed to the next round.

Rounds of Practice

Practice Rounds provide firms with a chance to learn how to collaborate with one another. To choose a date, click on the calendar icon, which will reveal a calendar where you may pick the preferred day for the round deadline. This will bring the calendar to a conclusion, and the chosen day will be shown on the page.

After that, choose a time from the drop-down menu. Manual and automatic processing options are available for each hour. Participants’ schedules will be updated with the dates and hours that have been designated for manual processing; nonetheless, teachers will be required to manually process the simulation from round to round.

The simulation is reset after the completion of the Practice rounds, and the Competition rounds begin immediately after. Located under the Manage Industry header, the link for Manual Process, Process Round, is accessible. In the case of selecting an Auto Process time, the system is instructed to automatically progress the Course’s Industries from one round to the next. Instructors will be able to see the results as soon as they are processed. If instructors want to see the outcomes of a round before the participants, they may arrange the system to postpone participant access.

Restart

The simulation must be resumed after the completion of the Team Practice Rounds in order to commence the Competition Rounds once, they have concluded. It is possible to plan restarts. It will be necessary to resume all industries inside the course when it is completed on time.

The entry of a Restart date in the Schedule does not result in the scheduling of a Restart. Rounds of the Competition Rounds, like Practice Rounds, may be set to process automatically by choosing Auto Process from the drop-down menu. The industry will have to be manually processed if this does not happen. As with Practice Rounds, the system may be configured to prevent participants from accessing the material until a later time. Make sure you click on the button that says “Click Here to Update Simulation.” The schedule will be sent to the system as a result of this action.

RESTORATION OF THE WORK SCHEDULE (TOURNAMENT)

Instructors may alter the optional modules of the simulation by restarting the experiment. Restarting the simulation brings the current simulation to an end and removes all of the choices and outcomes from the previous experiment. Manual Restarts may also be carried out by instructors. Requesting a Restart will cause all of the industries mentioned under your course to restart. If you need to stagger the restart of the industry, you may do so by selecting Manual Restart from the Manage Industry menu.
